Staeta is a brand of soy milk that has been sold in India since 2004.[1][2][3] Staeta Soy Milk is manufactured and distributed by ProSoya Foods (India) Pvt. Ltd.[4][5]
History
ProSoya Foods (India) Pvt. Ltd started operations in India in 2004.[6] It is promoted by Dr. Rajendra Gupta, the founder of ProSoya Inc, Canada.[7]
As of 2010, the product is now sold in over 15 major Indian cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad.[8]
Staeta soy milk sales roughly comprise one-fourth of soy milk sales and one-third of the refrigerated soy milk sales in India.[9]
In 2005, ProSoya Foods (India) won PETA's Proggy Award for the Best Soya Milk Company. Since 2005, both PETA and Staeta have organised several road shows across India to spread awareness of animal suffering and the availability of soya milk as a dairy alternative.[10][11][12]
Technology
Staeta Soy Milk is manufactured using the patented 'ProSoya Process' technology.[13] The same technology is also used in the manufacture of other popular soy milk brands such as Silk.[14][15] Staeta Soy milk is packed in Tetra Pak so that it can be stored for extended periods of time.[16]
Staeta Soymilk is available in five variants and flavours.[17][18][19]
